In Honor of Muriel
My neighbor Muriel will be 98 in April. In honor of her birthday, I am desiging a dress that was worn in the?1911, the year she was born. I have gotten the drawing all done, but am having troubles with the box pleats on the skirt. It has a drop waist that I have to fit into a yoke, and it isn’t working out the way I had it planned in my head. I will have to sleep on it again. Tomorrow, I will start piecing it all together. I know as I put it together the light in my head will go on.
This dress will be added to the Thornton Square line of women’s replica clothes on April 16…so I better get a move on.
Coming Soon
I have been tirelessly working on getting Thornton Square all ready to put on the web. I have so many different designs, it has taken time to sort them all out, and name them. We spent much of this afternoon shooting pictures to put on the site. Many of them came out, but some we will have to reshoot. I am not partial to digital cameras. They are so tempermental.
We shall soon?take some of the pictures outdoors. It should be warm enough on Tuesday. The lighting outdoors is certainly better.
Keep your eyes open for ThorntonSquare.com.
