The Prodigal Kitty Returns
The excitement of the day was when we saw Pyewacket come out of the barn. She walked out this morning, and we brought her into the pantry to eat. She thenmeowed to come in the house. I asked her where she had been all these days, but she kept silent. She still has not confessed her hiding place to us. She acted as if nothing was unusual. She didn’t seem to care that she worried us so. I wonder what kind of adventures she had in the barn. I wonder what she thought of our 12 pound chickens. I bet you she was scared of the chickens. I bet the chickens were scared of her.
Still No Sign Of Pyewacket
Pyewacket walked into the barn yesterday, and has yet to show herself. Now mind you, our barn is 3 floors and is jammed packed with all sorts of stuff from feed for the animals to furniture from the house. She could be anywhere. We thought for sure she would come back for supper last night, but we haven’t seen her since. I do hope she is finding a warm fuzzy place to sleep.
One Big Barn, One Missing Kitty
Today was the kittens first day out. They stood at the back door, and gazed at this whole big new world ahead of them. They watched in awe, as the chickens ran freely around the yard. They were to afraid to leave the stoop.
A stray dog showed up, and we tied him up near the dog pen. This was even more of a reason for Puca and Pyewacket to stay indoors. They have had enough from the dogs who already reside here, never mind a wacky stray pup.
The dog officer picked up the black lab puppy shortly after lunch, but they still wouldn’t venture out to much past the door. [Read more...]
