Photo A Day May # 6…You
If I had to choose an era to live in, I think it would be the Victorian era. When ladies were ladies, and men were gentlemen. I love to dress in Victorian clothes, and do many reenactments during the year. I loved it so much, I started to design my own clothes.
The Victorian era is marked by the years of Queen Victoria’s rule over England.

Photo A Day May # 3…Something You Wore Today
I truly love vintage clothing. There is a little shop in Vermont that I just love to shop at. They have clothes from all different era’s. My true passion is the Victorian era fashions. Petticoats, bustles, and lots of lace. Give me that, and I am happy.
In this picture, is the wedding dress my mother wore back in June of 1955. It is in need of some repair, and I tried it on to see how I could fix it. The photo on the 1930′s radio is of a 1920′s wedding that took place in my family.

Photo A Day May #2…Skyline
Heaven and Earth combine to offer the eyes a truly beautiful show.
Sunset over the fields of Cloverleaf Farm. The calming skies are always perfect at the end of each day. The blues, purples, and streaks of teal are offset by the tall pines of the forest.

Photo A Day May Challenge # 1…Peace
Twilight, and the moon. The sounds of crickets. The frogs are peeping, and the gentle breeze flows across your face.
I have always loved the moon. I spend many nights in search of the best spot to get a shot. This was shot with a 35 mm Canon.
This photo was taken off the Albany Covered Bridge in Albany. NH.

New Bill Proposed Would Stop Children From Working On Family Farms
I just saw this posted by a friend on Facebook. I was dumb founded. The Obama administration is actually proposing a bill that would make it illegal for children to farm chores on their family farms.
The bill, proposed by Labor Secretary Hilda Solis, was proposed on August 31, 2011. If passed, the bill would not only put new regulations on “child labor” around the family farm, but “would also revoke the government’s approval of safety training and certification taught by independent groups like 4-H and FFA, replacing them instead with a 90-hour federal government training course.”
The bill is written in vague terms, and even lawyers would have a hard time decifering it. It would create legal jams for many small farms. This jam, would not be of the tasty kind.

Bunnery Natural Foods Double Chocolate Pancake Mix; The Most Delicious Breakfast You Can Eat
Are you a chocoholic like me? Want to taste the best, natural pancakes on Earth? Then, you have to try Bunnery Natural Foods Double Chocolate Pancake and Waffle Mix.
Dark chocolate has so many health benefits for your body. It acts as an anti-oxidant, boosts and elevates moods, and had even been shown to lower your cholesterol. Dark coco is loaded with magnesium and is great for heart health.
Bunnery Natural Foods started out making healthy food for the hikers in the Jackson Hole, Wyoming region. Their business grew to include a restaurant, where they serve their products everyday.
The Double Chocolate Pancake & Waffle Mix is based on on their original O.S.M. Oatmeal recipe. They added Caillebaut dark chocolate chips, and cocoa. This added blend to the already nutty goodness of the oatmeal was the perfect combination to make the BEST pancake I have ever tried!
The mix comes in a 18 ounce sized package. The nutrition info calls for a two ounce pancake. Believe me, you don’t need much more than that.. These chocolate pancakes are filling enough that you only have to eat just a couple as part of a hearty breakfast. The package makes about 9 servings.
One of things that we liked was that the mix is low in sugar. That did not affect the taste however. They may be low in sugar, but the mix is high on deliciousness. Most people add syrup, and you don’t really need the added sugar.
Fruit Toppings Serving Suggestions
While these pancakes are delicious plain, you can also add a bit of fruit. You can add the fruit to the mix or top them off with fruit.
- Raspberry
- Strawberry
- Banana
- Mango
- Peach
- Blueberry
What fruit would you add?
Other Toppings
- Coconut
- Peanuts
- Whipped Cream
As you can see the possibilities are endless. Let us know what you come up with.
Syrup Suggestions
They are so tasty with maple syrup, but one day I decided to be a bit more adventurous. I added sliced strawberries, and then drizzled Monin’s Irish Cream Syrup over the top. It made Chocolate Strawberry Irish Cream Pancakes. Oh, my it was so yummy! Thinking of it makes me hungry.
