Photo A Day May #16…What You’re Reading
Lionel Barrymore and I are again reading “Following Atticus”, by Tom Ryan. A great book for all dog lovers. “Following Atticus” is a story of a man and his dog, and the journey they take together. They embark on hiking all 4000 foot mountains of New Hampshire in one season. A wonderful story, even if you aren’t into dogs.
Tom Ryan is a local New Hampshire author who lives in Jackson, NH.

Bonnie Blue Butler has the bluest eyes, and her name was taken from Gone With The Wind.
She loves to scamper around in the grassy fields here at the farm.

Here at Cloverleaf Farm, herbal products are made every day. We make a variety of medicinal herbal oils and ointments, plus a line of beauty skin creams. Our top seller is Lemon Balm Ointment, and I can never seem to make enough of it.
Making herbal products is fun, and rewarding. As a clinical herbalist, I enjoy developing new products that will help people heal naturally.

Ah, the sweet smell of Red Clover. It is a beautiful smell indeed.
Not only does Red Clover make a wonderful healthy tea, Red Clover Oil is used to treat eczema, and other skin rashes.
We collect fresh clover heads, dry them, and use them in our products. Of course, we save some for making tea. Red Clover tea can be drank either hot, or cold. On a hot summer’s day in August, it makes for a delicious iced tea. Add a sprig of mint, and a touch of lemon, find a shady spot, and relax.

Throughout my life, my Dad has been my inspiration. He was a hard worker who loved his family dearly. Sadly, he died at a very young age. Although I never really got the chance to know him well, he passed on a legacy that still lives within me today…courage and strength to forge ahead.
