Happy Halloween…The History of Halloween

Halloween, my favorite holiday. For many people, it means dressing up in costumes and going trick or treating for candy. But, that is not how the holiday first started. Halloween in Ancient times was known as Samhain. Samhain is pronounce sow-in. It is an ancient Celtic festival. For Pagans, Wiccans and other Earth based religions, it is the start of the New Year.
